At The Reef Shop, we offer a Best Price Guarantee on all in-stock merchandise. If you find a lower advertised price than our landed price on a new identical in-stock product at a competitor's website, we will match the price. Just include the applicable web address (URL) from our competitor's website showing the lower advertised price in the "Order Comments" while checking out on our website. We will adjust the product price(s) accordingly while processing your order. (*conditions apply)

Our shopping area provides you with valuable information on all our products. Take your time to select your item. If you require more information don't hesitate to contact us before you make a purchase for some no-obligation friendly advice.
We do not sell used goods.
For an accurate shipping cost please use the Estimate Shipping button when adding a product to your cart. Whilst we make every endeavor to carry ample stock at all times, it is sometimes impossible to predict demand which can at times lead to items being out of stock for a short period of time. Most items are usually on order from the distributor and stocks are generally replenished within a week or so. We reserve the right to cancel any order and refund the customer if any mistakes occur during the ordering process.
Products marked with "Special Order Item" usually take 1-3 weeks for delivery. Please inquire about availability before placing an order.


Freight Policy

We recommend purchasing freight insurance when buying goods from The Reef Shop Online

If the goods are insured and have been damaged or broken in transit then you must refuse to accept the order and notify us immediately.

All Parcels must be checked on delivery and before the courier leaves the premises with a signature!

We do not cover freight expenses on warranty claims. You will bear the risk of loss or damage to the goods, unless we have agreed to insure the parcel, in which case we are liable to pay you only up to the limit of the agreed insurance. You will always bear all risk of loss or damage arising in connection with the goods. We will not be liable for any delay, loss or damage arising from the supply of or failure to supply service ( including deterioration, mis-delivery or failure to deliver goods), for any reason whatsoever including breach of contract and negligence. We and any agents and subcontractors used by us have the benefit of these exclusions and limitations of liability even if any loss or damage arises for any reason whatsoever. Whilst our couriers will make every endeavor to deliver your parcel, there may be instances where a collection card will be left. Should this occur, the onus will be on the customer to arrange collection or redelivery with the courier.

Unfortunately we are unable to accept redelivery charges. Insurance will not be included on products market with Free Shipping or by Pallet Rate. Heavy items might not qualify for free shipping in remote locations of Australia We reserve the right to cancel any orders that do not qualify for free shipping. All free shipping items will be sent by Registered Post.

If you require insurance and the option is not available you will need to instruct us to do so on checkout.

All Fish tanks must be dispatched by Pallet Rate (optional freight insurance is also recommended). We always require an extra person to assist the courier on delivery of any fish tank over 20Kg


Platinum Parcel - Now with Platinum Parcel service you will receive your items faster with the option for am or pm delivery and specific day of the week (please special request on checkout excludes weekends). You will also be notified where your order/parcel is every step of the way.

Refund Policy

Your concern is important to us and for that reason we ask that you notify us in writing with a copy of the invoice within seven days of delivery. No item shall be returned without prior agreement between the purchaser and The Reef Shop. In the case of faulty goods we will ask you to return the item and all parts in their original packaging at your expense for a replacement or refund.
An order may be canceled when The Reef Shop is notified in writing before the order is sent.
We reserve the right to charge a 10% handling/processing fee on some returned items and to all special order items. If for some reason we cannot supply the product within two weeks no fees will be charged when the order is canceled (excludes special order items). Please note special orders cannot be canceled unless goods are not available within 30 days.
Any refunds will be credited to the account on which the order was purchased.

For your peace of mind and convenience, we always use track delivery method, which means you can track and locate the whereabouts of your parcel while being delivered.

We accept Visa and Master Card only.

Pricing Policy

All prices are in Australian dollars, inclusive of GST and subject to change without notice.
2.0% surcharge applies to paypal and credit card payments.
Paypal payment is available but freight insurance is required with this payment method .
This surcharges are non negotiable and to avoid them we offer different payment options that are free of any additional charges.
There is no surcharge for Bank transfers, cheques, money order andbitcoinpayments.

Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
By using this website you have agreed to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria without regard to choice of law rules. Each user agrees to submit to personal jurisdiction in the State of Victoria and further agrees that any cause of action arising from or relating to the use of this site or this agreement shall be brought exclusively in a court in Victoria.
